Dr. Belton’s research interests include substance use treatment and supervision, and athlete mental health.

Dr. Belton serves as Vice President for the Apple Valley Counselors Association, a chapter of the Virginia Counseling Association. She also serves as the faculty advisor for Alpha Chi Zeta, ²ÝÁñÉçÇøâ€™s chapter of Chi Sigma Iota.

Clinically, Dr. Belton enjoys working with addiction, anxiety, career, or spiritual struggles. Before stepping into a teaching role, she gained clinical experience in residential addiction recovery and intensive outpatient group settings.
